Overview

About this service

Registering your place of residence records your address in the State Population Register of the Republic of Armenia. Many public and private services, participation in elections and correct correspondence with authorities depend on it.

Registration is carried out by the territorial division of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that serves your address. You attend in person, either with an appointment booked through migration.e-gov.am or by joining the walk-in queue. We take care of the preparation: we review your occupancy documents, draft the owner's consent, help you book an appointment and explain every step.

The decision on registration is made by the competent authority. Our role is careful preparation and support so that your visit succeeds the first time.

Who it's for

  • Armenian citizens who have moved to a new address
  • Foreign nationals holding an Armenian residence card
  • Tenants who need the owner's consent arranged
  • Owners registering family members or residents

What you get

  • Your document set reviewed before you visit the authority
  • A ready-to-sign draft of the property owner's written consent
  • Help booking an online appointment at a convenient time
  • Clear explanations in English, Russian or Armenian
  • Optional accompaniment to the appointment

Requirements

Key requirements

  • 1Registration is made at one address only — your place of permanent or temporary residence.
  • 2You need a document confirming your right to use the dwelling: a title certificate, lease agreement, court decision or an application from the person providing the accommodation.
  • 3If you are not the owner, the owner's written consent is generally required; registration may be refused without it.
  • 4Armenian citizens subject to military registration must present their registration certificate or military service book.
  • 5The procedure for foreign nationals without residence status is confirmed by a specialist case by case.
This is preliminary general information, not legal advice. Requirements depend on your situation and may change — a specialist will confirm them before we start.

Stages

How the procedure works

  1. 1

    Request and questionnaire

You complete a short questionnaire about yourself, the address and your right to live there.

  2. 2

    Document review

A specialist reviews your documents and tells you exactly what is missing.

  3. 3

    Preparation

We prepare the owner's consent, power of attorney and translations where required.

  4. 4

    Appointment

We help you choose a visit date at the Migration and Citizenship Service office for your address.

  5. 5

    Visit and registration

You submit the documents in person; the competent authority makes the decision.

In-person attendance

Registration documents are submitted in person at the Migration and Citizenship Service territorial division serving your address, with the original of your identity document. A separate appointment is needed for each applicant, including family members of any age. Where the owner gives consent, the owner may need to attend or provide notarised consent.

Our role

What we do — and what we don't

What we do

  • Advise on your situation and prepare a precise document checklist
  • Review your occupancy documents and check them against the requirements
  • Draft the owner's written consent and, where needed, a power of attorney
  • Coordinate notarisation and translation through partner providers
  • Help you book an appointment via migration.e-gov.am
  • Accompany you to the appointment if you choose this option

What we don't do

  • We are not a government body and do not register anyone — registration is performed by the Migration and Citizenship Service
  • We cannot guarantee a positive decision and do not influence processing times
  • We cannot attend in your place where the law requires your personal presence
  • We do not provide addresses for sham registration and do not take part in it
  • We do not obtain an owner's consent without the owner's own, personal agreement
